This is another heart-warming story between a canine and a feline that became best of friends. Flora has been living with her foster family for years. One day, her foster family has got Dexter, a 20-year-old feline from the Best Friends Animal Society. The two became so close to each other and became inseparable. However, after a couple of years, Dexter passed away, and it was so difficult for Flora to accept Dexter’s loss.
Flora was so hurt. She even whimpered and howled that she never did before. Most of the time she stayed outside. She’s in great grief losing her best friend. That’s why her foster family decided to find a way to alleviate the pain that Flora has been going through. They adopted another two cats, but they were not so sweet like Dexter. Thus, Flora still feels sad and empty.
The family came up with the idea of adopting four little kittens. They named the kittens’ Glamour, Roxy, Bowie, and Iggy. The objective of adopting the little kittens was to teach her children the value of fostering. But to her surprise, Flora benefits the most.
As soon as Flora and the kittens met, it seemed that Flora has come to life again after the death of Dexter. The four little kittens immediately approached Flora as if they were not overwhelmed by her size. Flora never showed any aggression while the kittens started to approach her.
From then on, Flora spends most of her time playing and looking after the kittens. The little felines are so close to Flora in such a way that every time Flora enters the room. They gave her a sniff and cuddle. The presence of the four kittens gave Flora a new life.
But as the kittens are growing up, they will eventually, leave Flora to find their forever homes. Flora might be sad again when they leave. The only consolation that Flora has is that she can always find friends.
